Where the stories cross

The characters know each other. And they meet.

  • In Berlin, Juliana lives in Lukas's old room, at his mother Sabine's place. He is across the ocean, living on Dona Rose's rooftop.

  • Dudu's song goes into Lukas's film. First, Dudu has to convince the label, politely and in English.

  • Caíque, grandson of Dona Silvia (Juliana's grandmother), becomes the editor of Lukas's film.

  • Two grandmothers from the quebrada on their first international flight: Dona Silvia to see her granddaughter, Dona Rose with the money from the rooftop raffle.

The big meet-up

Berlin, March: three series, one weekend.

In season A2, Juliana, Dudu and Lukas end up in the same place, each by their own road. Follow one series and you will run into the others.

How it's made

The writer creates. AI amplifies.

Behind every character there is an author: Alexandre Ribeiro, writer, founder of DQPM and author of Querido Heinz, who went from Favela da Torre to Berlin. AI comes in as a tool, so a universe this size fits your routine and your level.

From the writer

  • The universe, the neighbourhoods and every character, with a name, a family and a story.
  • The arcs, the cliffhangers and the humour of each season.
  • What goes in and what stays out. A character whose name doesn't ring true gets a new one.

From AI

  • Helps write each episode in three rhythms, from light to intense.
  • Gives the lines a neural voice, so you can hear every scene.
  • In pronunciation practice, it listens to you and shows what to adjust.

From review

  • Every episode follows the De Quebra cycle: See, Unpack, Practice, Create and Take it to the world.
  • Automated tests check every episode, in every rhythm, before it goes live.
  • The author reads and sends things back. When he found the first season too shallow, all 48 episodes were deepened.

Why do we say we use AI?

Because there is nothing to hide. AI doesn't know the quebrada: the writer does. AI helps these stories go further and faster, with a rhythm for every learner.
