In a psychiatric hospital in Berlin, Alexandre meets Heinz, a German man from another generation. Through conversations, silences and memories, two lives shaped by very different origins, experiences and ways of seeing the world begin to draw closer.
Written in Portuguese and German, Querido Heinz crosses the distance between Brazil and Germany to reflect on migration, memory, racism, mental health, war, freedom and responsibility. It is a story about what may emerge when two lives that seemed separate finally face one another.
